The Website Blocked My Temp Mail Address

This is the most common issue. Many websites use detection services to block known temporary email domains. If you see an error like "disposable emails are not allowed," the site has recognized your domain.

How to fix it

  • Try a different domain — click "Select domain" and pick another one from the list. Some domains aren't on blocklists yet
  • Use a premium domainpremium users have access to premium domains that aren't publicly listed, so detection services don't know about them
  • Use your own custom domain — the most reliable option. Since you own the domain, no blocklist will flag it. Learn how to add a custom domain

I'm Not Receiving Any Emails

If your address is accepted but no messages are showing up:

Check these first

  1. Wait a moment — some services take a few minutes to send verification emails. Give it 2-3 minutes before troubleshooting
  2. Make sure you copied the right address — double-check that the address you pasted on the sign-up form matches the one shown on temp-mail.io
  3. Check if the domain is still active — if you see a message that the domain is unavailable, switch to a different domain
  4. Refresh the page — messages appear in real time, but a manual refresh can help if your connection was interrupted

If emails still don't arrive

  • The sending service may have silently blocked your temp mail domain without showing an error
  • Try creating a new address on a different domain and sign up again
  • Some services intentionally delay or block emails to temporary addresses

My Email Address Expired

If you come back and your address is gone:

  1. Go to the main page
  2. Click "more""Emails history"
  3. Find your old address and click "use"

This restores the address so you can receive new messages on it. For a full guide, see How to access old temp mail.

Messages from expired addresses are only available within the storage period: 1 day for free users, 30 days for premium.

The Page Isn't Loading

If temp-mail.io itself won't load:

  • Check your internet connection — try opening another website
  • Try a different browser — clear cache or use incognito/private mode
  • Disable ad blockers temporarily — some aggressive ad blockers interfere with the site
  • Check the browser extension — if you're using the Temp Mail browser extension, try the website directly instead

Still Not Working?

If none of the above helped, the issue might be on the sending service's end. Some platforms are very aggressive about blocking temporary emails, and there's not always a workaround with public domains.

Your best options in this case:

  1. Upgrade to premium — premium domains bypass most blocklists
  2. Add your own domaincustom domains are never blocked
  3. Use an email aliasAlias Email gives you a permanent private address that is less likely to be blocked
